About the image
An exterior image taken early enough that the air is still holding moisture. Mist is the cheapest and most convincing depth cue available in a wide shot: it separates foreground planting from the middle distance and lets a site read as layers rather than one flat carpet of green.
Volumetric depth is graded in passes, so the mist density could be tuned per plane without re-rendering.
